Seattle school district - Assignment for Kindergarten / G1 meetings

IEP has to be completed by the end of February.

School assigned by middle of March.

Based on teacher, therapy, suitability numeric assessment where kids are assigned.

People Comments were not taken into account.

Some chance: Clustered schools: picking school within cluster (north, north-east, north-west)

More chance: down to profile (dyspraxia program over cluster)

Choice of school comes first.

Blaithin's talk to Heidi Gaynor

Heidi Gaynor - Place Cianna: Seattle School district.

OT, Speeach Therapist, Class Teacher, Admin from Viewridge.

Up a year, Down a year.

Dyspraxia- developmentally advanced

8 - 2 + 1 Ot.

Always focus of 3 to 1 with the children.

Once Cianna gets into a program, she stays in that school district.

High chance of getting it if we want it.

Viewridge dyspraxia full day

Behavioural - can play indepentally.

Has to be potty trained

Might assessed a child to go off to knindegarten

Can reasses Cianna back to viewridge if she thought Cianna needed it.

Blended programs are only one year long. After that she can go to any school, or go to the resource room.

EEU: Too popular. Doing lottery. Want whole range of kids. Regular plus every time of disability.
